Had I been offered a point against Blackpool before the kick-off, I`d most certainly have said, "Yes please". The match wasn`t pretty - but at this stage of the season, that is secondary.

I'm chewing my fingernails with the results but I agree a point is as much as I expected, in fact it's OK for both teams, let's hope they both stay up.

Two good results last night as far as PNE are concerned. Both Colchester and Scunthorpe lost.

Those were two of `the games in hand`, that were to be part of PNE`s downfall.
Roll on Saturday and bring on the Dingles.

Poor David, he can't give us any more grief now.

I can`t say that I`m 100% happy that he`s gone. Why, Oh why couldn`t he have stayed within the bounds of what was acceptable and what wasn`t.
I hope that Graham Alexander gets the reception he so richly deserves from the Preston fans. With his record, wouldn`t it be ironic if Burnley were awarded a penelty and Lonners saved it?

Yes he's gone, 3rd time this the other two he left of his own accord.

Hi Audrey, When Irvine arrived - I just KNEW that he`d steer us clear.

50 points are now enough to keep us out of the mire, despite Alan Irvine`s ultra cautious 54. I`m sure he only set that target to keep the players on their toes.
Well done - and roll on next season. I can`t wait for the Premiership to be acheived. [ ]

It was bitterly cold on the ground today, I sat in the Finney stand. North End should have had 3 by half time, the Hungarian on loan scored one then missed two what should have been sitters when one on one with the goalkeeper, shooting both of them wide. We had a snow shower and for some reason the pitch was watered at half time. Mckenna was sponsors man of the match, though St Ledger had a good game as did Lonergan, the crowd chanting his name throughout the game. The standard of football now is much higher than it was under Paul Simpson. Next season..... roll on.
