I'm at the North End v Cardiff game tomorrow, I shall be astonished if we win after what I saw against Scunthorpe. Cardiff have players such as Hasselbaink on the subs bench unable to get a start, and Peter Whittingham who has one o the hardest shots in the game, not to mention Robbie Fowler. Actually Jim, I've been to 5 matches this season, not seen them win, not even seen them score. Maybe I'm a bad omen?

Noel, It`s just what I was thinking, but didn`t want to put it into words. [Tongue][Tongue][Tongue]

I thought you were sitting on the fence a bit Jim[8D] Incredible though isn't it? Take away the Southampton game and they have scored just 7 goals from 11 home games.

Despite the setbacks, I still feel quite optimistic with Irvine at the helm. Don`t forget, it took Simmo a few months to decimate a good squad.

Why take away the Southampton game ? It's not like they got a bag full that day..they won 1-0 ??

Noel, Please can I make a heartfelt plea? Don`t buy any more tickets for Deepdale.[Tongue]. I still havn`t altered my opinion of Irvine, we won`t be relegated. Any takers?

5-1 was the score David. I'm talking about home
games only.

Don't worry Jim after todays woeful performance it will be a long time before I go on again ( possibly 8th Jan in the FA Cup[Big Grin])
First half they played really well, Whaley scored then strangely got subbed after only 20 minutes. 2nd half was as bad as I have seen in a long long while. At the end the crowd were chanting "you're not fit to wear the shirt" they were that bad. Going down? Definitely, it's nailed on.

Irvine is going to be a great manager for us, I believe.

PNE 1 - 2 Cardiff....Good job you said Christmas Jim and not New Year. And their January fixtures should, on form, see them planted firmly on the bottom by February. [?][?] What the heck can they do about it with a new stand being built that is probably taking whatever funds they have on hand, and it's not easy trying to sign decent players when you're heading south. It doesn't look good. [Sad]

As I said, I`m taking bets. We are in `money where mouth is` territory.
