That's a tough one Jim, there is only a handful of refs around that time I can remember and they were all famous. Arthur Ellis of course did It's A Knockout with Eddie Wareing. Dennis Howell reffed in the sixties and became Sports Minister later in the Labour Government of Harold Wilson , he was a bit portly and Ken Aston who I think was tall and lanky and thin on top, like so many referees seem to be. He incidentally came up with the idea of the red and yellow cards and the substitutes board.
