it can't be fun being an English man living in Oz. A pal of mine has lived in Geelong for the last 40 years almost. Must get ribbed to bits by the current showing. England have medium fast bowlers whereas the Aussies have fast and bowl at the head, which never seems cricket to me, they moaned enough about the so-called bodyline series way back.
Everton have chosen the safe option big Sam who I seem to recall retired from the game because of heart problems. It's amazing how £6million a year can mend a broken heart?

geoff boycott made an interesting comment about australian cricketers. one of them, i forget who, played for yorkshire last season, he was quiet as a mouse, now he's back over in australia he's loud as anything, it's in their dna he said. as long as england select the old boys network, cook etc. i expect nothing else but abject displays. thank heaven for a gutsy lancastrian,
