So, Davies is out of a job. I wonder if he regrets leaving Deepdale? I have no doubt that we would not be in our present dire position had he not left.
However, this new man of ours fills me with (justified?) confidence and I`m willing to bet we will be out of the bottom three by Christmas.

I've been having my say on the PNE forum. What's so incredible, he fell out with the chairman and hadn't spoken to him for 3 weeks. Deja Vu!!
Agreed we'd be a lot higher challenging for promotion again if he hadn't left. But with a £750k pay off allegedly he won't be hard up for a few weeks.
Tip him to replace Robson at Sheff U, or any other big club in the championship.

Is there such a thing as a "big club" in the Championship League ?
Those that go up quite often seem to find a way to come back down. If the likes of Sunderland can't hold a Premiership place, what chance have others ?

There are several "big clubs" David as well you know. By big I mean capable of having 25,000 plus if they got in the Prem. Big in potential and bigger than some clubs in the prem, certainly bigger than the likes of Blackburn and Bolton. Leicester, Sheff Wed, Sheff U, Wolves, Southampton, Charlton, Ipswich, Norwich West Brom. Many of these would get 30000 plus. Even in the 1st division there's Leeds and Forest, all big clubs.
