did anyone carry on teaching shotokan karate in or around the leyland area,I taught a number of blackbelts some 25 years ago in leyland motors karate club, if possible I would like to make contact with any one still doing it and remembers me,Dave Harrison, and Colin Lister, we ran the club for many years and had many successful blackbelts under our tuition.

Hello Dave, just came across your Forum thread (8 years after you first posted). I studied beneath yourself and Colin at Thurston Road from 1980 - 1985, I was 10 years old. My dad was Tony Coward who I believe used to work with you before you became a driving instructor. You were a very good instructor and very understanding and encouraging towards us young uns. I remember wondering whether you were made of bronze after sparring with you one time!
Hope you're doing well Dave, take care.
