I think Adam Lyth's been lucky to keep his place, and Boycott's gone very quiet after being very vocal about him replacing the previous no1 Anderson will be a big loss but Finn's new action, matched Johnsone for pace is a big plus. Good to see the Aussies put in their place, win at Trent Bridge, the Ashes are back where they belong.

Yes he described Freddie Truman as having the perfect action. Brian statham doesn't count as he's not from yarkshire. Oh to be an Englishman in Oz right now.

The silence is deafening - but the press and commentators are sharpening their knives for blood - there will be decimation at player, coach and selector level. A total rebuild.

Don't have any sympathy, they come across as arrogant. The Trent bridge, Cardiff and Edgbaston crowds were loud, let's say. Lords is a different story. Snooty old boys brigade. Maybe England should stop playing there? That'd shake em up. Think there'll be mass exody for Australia, maybe a complete rebuild just as England had after that 5 0 defeat. The new lads have excelled apart from Lyth, now it's won though why not give him another chance.

They tried to be as arrogant as the old boys (Johnson et al - growing Lillee moustache etc), but didn't have the skill and bottle to carry it off.................................. Egged on by the Press. A sign of inexperience

No, credit to the ossies for refusing to lie down. All they've got to play for is pride and they have plenty of that. For England still a lot of problems. Openers, captain in my opinion and wicket keeper that can score a few runs. Magic wand time. Where are they.
