]I believe they were very unlucky, 3 goals cencede in the last 5 minutes?. Arsenal don't seem to be having the best of times in The Emirates stadium . Whereas Chelsea last minute against Wigan ?[:0]

Audrey; The record gate at Deepdale was 42,684 v Arsenal in Div. 1, 23rd April 1938. I believe they lowered the attendance capacity to something like 37,000 after that match for safety reasons.
I remember being 'locked out' v Bolton in a cup match one year, and being 'lock in' v Liverpool, cup match again, on another occasion.

I was on the cup game against Man U when the Kop wall collapsed, it went with a heck of a thud, fortunately no one was seriously injured. I think there were about 38,000 on that game.

It's hard to imagine nowadays but Preston signed Eddie Quigley for a then record British transfer fee of 26,500 pounds. To think that some of those cry babies are getting TWICE that per GAME now.

A 4-2 hammering, so much for a Happy PNE Chris mas. Every time this team has a chance to move ahead, they screw up. Time and time again they fail to get the points when all around them are failing too. Well it's adios first place for sure, Birmingham are just about out of reach now. It's hang on and hope time...again...and they usually hang themselves don't they ? What a nice Christmas present it would have been to win just two in a row...but it wasn't to be. It really is a heartbreaker being a PNE supporter.tmas.

I'm not worried David, to be 2nd with such a low support, can't really complain. At least we've avoided relegation.
