- Martin - 30-Nov-2006 And what about Cardiff letting in 3 and Birmingham letting in 4! it's going to be crowded at the top. - Spitfire - 01-Dec-2006 It`s been said quite often, that the team that is not at it`s best and still collecting points and remaining in a high league position is very likely to succeed in the promotion race. - David - 02-Dec-2006 Luton 2 v 0 North EndI'm convinced that North End are in the fight of their lives to prevent promotion. Two points from the last nine, and two goals in the last four games. Not exactly promotion class is it. [?] - noel - 03-Dec-2006 Luton had lost their last 7 games, thankfully for them North End were the next team to play. Cynical, moi? Haven't we seen it all before? - Spitfire - 03-Dec-2006 Noel, It`s exactly what I said a couple of days ago. Knowing PNE`s history over the years - I feel less trepidation regarding their visit to Birminghan next Saturday. I`m expecting no less than a draw. - David - 04-Dec-2006 FA Cup Third Round...PNE v Sunderland. don't they play them in late December too ? - David - 09-Dec-2006 quote: Originally posted by Spitfire Noel, It`s exactly what I said a couple of days ago. Brum 3 v 1 Dead End He who expecteth, never receiveth. Less than two weeks ago on Nov.28th, North End were sitting on top of the Championship division. Twelve days later they are in 4th place, five points behind leaders Birmingham. It hardly seems possible... 1 Preston North End...won 10 drawn 8 lost 4 points 38 2 Cardiff City..........won 11 drawn 4 lost 5 points 37 - David - 16-Dec-2006 PNE v Plymouth. The first team that North End have played that were in the top ten other than Birmingham since Oct. 27th v Burnley. In that spell they have won 12 points out of a possible 30. No wonder no one is posting about them. And I thought you were PNE through and through...and I'm not stirring it either. You're either North Ender's or just sometime North Ender's ? We all love winners, but do we support only a winning team ? They're still in with a chance, but it is fading. They need you, get behind them. - noel - 16-Dec-2006 I'm going next week to the Colchester game, Colchester performing well beyond expectations, today my thoughts were elsewhere, players high wages and rocketing admission prices make it difficult for dole scum to afford to go on.[} ]Attendances of 13,000 tell their own story, it's only £2 more to watch Premiership games. - David - 17-Dec-2006 3-0, a very good win today Noel, they needed it. I paid 18 pounds to watch the Rovers v Man U match. Today my son, grandson, and I went to watch Tiger Woods play in a tournament near Los Angeles. We were given free tickets to the tournament and access to the very posh Sherwood Golf Club clubhouse with food and drink laid on too, it was brilliant. http://www.golfcoursehome.net/doc/communities/Community-Sherwood.htm |
