Noel, I still can`t pin-point the exact spot, but if you look at the attached link for the aerial photo, It would appear to be around St. George`s Road/Kent Street perhaps?

Car park over the Bus station Jim, you get some great shots from the top.

Noel, I`d never have guessed in a million years. What was the zoom setting?

- noel - 10-Feb-2007

I think it was 6 times optical Jim, a while ago now since it was taken. The camera goes up to 8 optical and 4 digital but I rarely use the digital, too complicated, lol.

Preston NE v Man City, is this on Saturday or Sunday? I know it's being shown on the BBC.

- Spitfire - 17-Feb-2007

Martin, It`s on BBC1 on Sunday at 1pm (kick-off 1.10pm). Whilst a good result would be nice - six points gathered in the league next Tuesday and Friday are what really matter.

I think it's called snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. After spending all season well in the top 6, on the penultimate game they've dropped to 8th and look unlikely to qualify for the play offs.
Next week's game at home v Birmingham is a make or break thoug I think 6 defeats in the last 7 games does say something about the team. They had the perfect opportunity for automatic promotion but wouldn't strengthen the team in the January transfer window, unlike all the other challengers, and now have paid the price. Thankyou Mr Shaw.

PNE got just what they deserved - nothing!!! No investment. no desire, no fight.
Every cloud has a silver lining though - Leeds were relegated.

Derek Shaw thinks having held on to Nugent was the investment.
Most supporters wouldn't agree with him and we'll see how long that investment ie Nugent remains at the club during close season.
Still as you say Jim we can at least laugh at Leeds.

Since the start of February, which for whatever reason is when our season ended, these are the points gained by us and the six teams who will finish bottom of the league,

QPR................22
Leeds.............19
Hull................18
Barnsley..........18
PNE................18
Luton .............15 (only won 5 games since November, but beat us)
Southend.........14 (very poor record, but one of their 4 wins was at deepdale)

So, as if anyone was in any doubt, our form for the final 15 games (ONE THIRD of the season) has been cast iron relegation form.

Noel, The big question is WHY? Sunderland are promoted today yet we beat them three times this season. There is no logic in any of this.
Is Nugent as good as people reckon? He certainly hasn`t helped our promotion push and being substituted on Saturday speaks volumes.
